Collision Repair Safety – Protecting Your Workforce While Maintaining Your Environment

Nick Oberle, 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division

Scott Shinn, 3M Personal Safety Division

Members of the 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division and 3M Personal Safety Division will partner to deliver Shop Owners, Managers & Repairers with a foundational overview of what a comprehensive PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) program looks like in a modern collision repair facility. Topics include performing a facility hazard assessment, performing a PPE assessment, techniques for actively managing your shop’s environment and, finally, understanding what is necessary to maintain compliance with PPE regulations. Attendees can expect to walk away with critical understanding of requirements for a written respirator program, types of PPE, understanding of the differences in types of respiratory, skin, eye and ear protection and tools that can be leveraged to maximize the environmental conditions in your facility.
